Our first time Pumpkin Picking!

I’ve always wanted to go pumpkin picking but there has never been one local to us until now (or that I’ve known about anyway) so this year we decided to go for it and let me tell you, we had the best time at the pumpkin patch. We got to the field which was free to enter, chose a wheelbarrow and off we went to pick our pumpkins. The field was full of pumpkins and they were all so different to one another. Some round, oval shaped, some orange, some green and some yellow. I never knew that pumpkins grew on a vine, did you?

The girls hopped in the wheelbarrow and enjoyed the ride whilst I enjoyed just simply watching them together and spending time as a family.

As you can see, the pumpkins we picked were nearly as big as Isabelle.

Alyssia had a good try at pushing her sister in the wheelbarrow but soon realised it was too heavy haha!

They got out the wheelbarrow to make room for more pumpkins and off they went to explore.

Isabelle has recently learn’t to walk and watching them both toddle around together is just the cutest thing. They had the best time picking out pumpkins.

When it came to paying for our pumpkins I was shocked at how cheap they were.. all pumpkins ranged between £1 and £4 which I thought was amazing. We went strawberry picking in the Summer and it cost us £20 in strawberries so as you can imagine I wasn’t expecting it to be so cheap. I was so impressed and will definitely be taking the girls again next year, it was so much fun. I’m looking forward to carving the pumpkins that we picked, nearer to Halloween.
