Peppa Pig World – Grand Preview Event

If you follow me on social media you will no doubt know that we were lucky enough to be invited to the special press event last week to celebrate the grand opening of the 2 new rides that open at Peppa Pig World today! We had never been to Peppa Pig World before but I knew it was somewhere I wanted to take Alyssia one day and I just knew that she would love it there. We set off early leaving Somerset at 7.30 and had arrived in Southampton by 9.45 (just in time for Mcdonalds breakast – haha!) When we arrived we were allocated a parking space (parking is free by the way, this is something I always look for when going on days out) and shown our way through the VIP entrance where they gave us our personalised Lanyards and a map of the day.

We went down to the 2 new rides where we showed our passes and were given a goody bag full of Peppa pig goodies and a press pack. This was my first time attending a press event as a blogger and we were there with lots of other bloggers and a few celebrities including Rochelle & Marvin Humes, there were cameras everywhere and the place had a really great atmosphere.

The 2 new rides are by far the best ones there, Alyssia was a massive fan and I will admit, we definitely made the most of them. The first ride that we went on was a water ride called ‘Grampy Rabbits Sailing Club’ its a little spinning boat that takes you on a trip around the course. I was worried that Alyssia wouldn’t sit still but she was so well behaved and oh so excited to be at Peppa Pig World.

The second ride that we went on was the coach ride, again I was worried that Alyssia wouldn’t like it due to it being quite high up but believe it or not she absolutely loved it and overall I think this was one of her favourites. This ride was called ‘The Queens Flying Coach Ride’ – a really peaceful ride suitable for everybody including my pregnant self. It was so nice to be able to go on a ride as a family and seeing Alyssia so mesmerised by everything around her was just amazing.

We got there just in time to meet Peppa and George in which I hoped she would love but Alyssia was petrified and wouldn’t stop clinging on to myself or her dad. This is the best photo we could get of us & George, the rest were a no go:

We went exploring around the rest of Peppa Pig World and met a few other lovely bloggers along the way. Alyssia ran straight over to the park and just loved the freedom and having so many other children around her.

We headed over to the Peppa Pig car rides as Alyssia had been talking about this car all morning. There was an ice cream parlour right next to it so of course we took full advantage, Alyssia and her daddy both enjoyed ice creams whilst I quietly indulged in a hot sugary donut – yum!

Seeing Alyssia ‘drive the car’ on the car ride really did make me giggle, she was so focused and held onto the steering wheel the whole time.. I’ll include a short video here:

One thing I was really impressed about was the cleanliness of the park, I don’t think I’ve ever been to a park that has been so clean and tidy and so family friendly. The toilets are always a place I dread going when in public because lets be honest, public toilets aren’t always the nicest but Paultons park really did pull it out of the bag – in both the womens and the mens toilets (confirmed by my partner) there were built in toddler training seats which I thought was just amazing.

As I mentioned above, I had never been to Paultons Park before and I really didn’t realise how amazing it would be there and just how much they had to offer. We went to explore and not only was there Peppa Pig World, but there were also 3 other main parks on site (Critter Creek, Lost Kingdom & Little Africa) all in which were just as good.

Not only is it full of rides, parks and things to do, there are also quiet gardens and places where you can just go for a stroll or a picnic.

I couldn’t believe how well the park catered for ALL the family and we will most definitely be going there again at some point.

A huge thank you to all at Peppa Pig World for making our day so special.

Outfits:

Alyssia wore her denim jacket from Next with a plain white top and pink floral trousers, she did look pretty cute to be fair despite the grumpy face in the photo above. I wore a grey ruffled top from pinkblush maternity and styled it with my denim jacket and just some plain leggings. The top was really comfy to wear, I always try and opt for something casual/comfy when going on days out as I knew we would be doing a lot of walking and I didn’t want to feel restricted. Now that I’m 23 weeks pregnant, I have no choice but to wear maternity clothes but I know that tops like this one will serve me well right up until the end of my pregnancy and beyond.
