Little Treats before becoming a Big Sister & a £50 Pound Toy Giveaway!

Every child loves a new toy, right? But gosh aren’t they expensive at times, especially when you’re buying them to prevent a meltdown in a shop or because they’ve broken the others. When Alyssia was younger, I would save up and buy her the best toys every now and again even though she was only little and had no idea how much they cost and no way of showing any appreciation. I just loved to see her little face light up, but realistically she would have been happy with anything. Now that Alyssia is 2 and a half and we’re expecting our second baby very soon, I have learnt that buying the most expensive toys just isn’t worth it. Since becoming a mum, I’ve also gained budgeting skills and I am a sucker for a bargain. I may have already started my christmas shopping (you’ve got to get ahead of the game right?) I found a bargain online toy shop called PoundToy that sell cheap but great quality toys for as little as 50p. They have a great range of toys for all age groups and I couldn’t believe how cheap it all was.

With that in mind and with Christmas not too far away now (sorry!) I figured it was time to put an order in, not only that – Alyssia will be becoming a big sister very soon and I wanted to make the most of the spare time we have just the two of us, so I ordered a few crafty bits too including a 500 sticker set for just £4, a mess free colouring book set (every parents dream) £4, a mister maker colouring book for just £1 and a ‘make your own princess headband’ for just 50p – an absolute bargain. I’ve also got her some playdoh, though we’ve never done it before so that will be interesting. I got her a Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom character set for £12 and she LOVES it and takes her little figures everywhere with her which is super cute.

She’s at that age now where she has a preference into what TV programmes she likes etc though they do change all the time, don’t ever underestimate the mind of a 2 year old. The other things that I got included a play money set (she absolutely loves this and it was only £1), a Thomas and friends Mega Bloks set, an inflatable dinosaur (another favourite of hers), a bubble camera machine, Kung Fu Panda 3 monopoly (I’m saving this for a rainy day when she’s a little bit older), some grafix moulding sand, peppa pig mouldable foam spray, a cbeebies puzzle, a little packet of sweets and a cute lamaze teething toy for her new baby sister all for under £50!! I wish you could have seen the look on her face when the postman arrived with her parcel!

I was so impressed with the quality of the toys and with how much you can get for your money that we have teamed up with Pound Toy to give you all the chance to win a £50 voucher to spend on their website. All you have to do is click the link below & follow the instructions on screen. The Giveaway will run for 1 week, ending at midnight on Wednesday 25th July and is open to UK entrants only. For each entry requirement you complete, you are in for an extra chance of winning so be sure to complete as many as possible. The Winner will be chosen at random and contacted via email once the giveaway has closed. Good luck!
